Big Ivy Tailgate Market Saturdays, May to October, 9:00am – noon at the old fire station in Barnardsville, across the street from the post office. Growers offer poultry and eggs, grass-fed beef and lamb, fresh vegetables and herbs, baked goods, breads, confections, mushrooms, fresh-roasted coffee beans and brewed coffee, jams and jellies, hand-crafted soaps, herbal products, medicinal plants, live music, crafts, fiber arts, special events, and more.

Spruce Pine Farmers Market Featuring vendors from Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. Selling shiitake mushrooms, rabbit meat, grass fed beef, . Organic and naturally grown produce, such as early broccoli and squash, fresh herbs, asparagus, blueberries, strawberries, apples and so much more. Eggs, artisan breads, and baked goods including scones, bars, honey, jams, jellies. Our artists create dried flower art, natural soaps and lotions and beeswax candles. Twirlers and crochet handled towels, eyeglass holders. Yancey County Farmers Market provides to the community a source of high-quality, fresh, farm produced and farm related products.
