Farms
Stone Coop Farm – A certified organic farm in Brighton. Stone Coop specializes in mixed vegetables and fruits with many heirloom varieties. They have a CSA membership and sell at farmer’s markets (Brighton and Howell) and wholesale.
Motave Meadows – Located in Howell, Motave Meadow’s is certified organic. They offer a variety of lettuces, tomatoes, other vegetables, and herbs. Their produce is available once a month at the Howell farmer’s market, Livingston food co-op, and weekly at the People’s food co-op (Ann Arbor). Their produce is also available through their web site for pick-up at the farm or the Howell farmer’s market.
Maggie’s Farm – A small scale CSA in Hell that adheres to organic growing methods, but is not certified organic.
Valley View Organic – Small organic farm in Brighton that offers organic produce and free range chicken and pork products.
Raw Milk
Dairy Delight – A family-run farm located 10 miles north of Howell. Dairy Delight offers a dairy herd cow share program for distribution of real, raw milk.
Oliver Farms – Located in Fostoria, Oliver Farms offers a wide variety of nourishing foods including raw milk through their cow share program. They make regular delivers to Livingston county. Oliver Farms is a vendor at the Howell farmer’s market and some of their offerings can be found at the Livingston Foods co-op.
Simple Shepherd – Located in Cohoctah, they have a goat milk share program and offer raw goat milk cheeses.

Co-ops
Livingston Food Co-op – In operation for over 13 years, the goal is simple: obtain organic, simple, safe, real food at more affordable prices. The co-op has pretty much everything you can imagine, from produce and meats to nuts, seeds, baking goods, spices, and a wide variety of organic offerings. One-time $40 fee to become a member, no work required. Located at 9912 E. Grand River Ave #900 Brighton, 48116 (In the Charrington Square). They also have a Facebook page.
People’s Food Co-op – Fantastic co-op with just about everything healthy you can imagine. One-time $60 membership fee. They’re located at 216 North Fourth Avenue Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
Farmer’s Markets
Brighton Farmer’s Market – For 2013, the market will run every Saturday from May 4 through October 26, rain or shine. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Howell Farmer’s Market – The 2013 season of the Howell Sunday Farmers’ Market gets under way Sunday, May 4, and runs every Sunday through Oct. 27, featuring locally-grown produce, handmade goodies from 50 vendors and live entertainment. State Street and Clinton Street in historic Downtown Howell, next to the Livingston County Courthouse. Hours: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Stores
Greener Pastures Market – Located in South Lyon, Greener Pastures carries a wide variety of meat, fish (wild caught great lakes fish fillets and seafood), and fowl. Most of their offerings are local and/or organic.
Brighton Health Mart – The Brighton Health Mart offers a complete line of health products and services.
Natural View Market – Located in downtown Brighton, NVM offers a variety of supplements, vitamins, and healthy food.
Restaruants
Wooden Spoon – Carry Out and Bistro. They feature fresh seasonal ingredients from local growers across Livingston County. They offer Michigan based products, as well as hard to find culinary specialties.
