If you have a recipe you want the group to try, please bring it with you. If the other participants are willing to try it, we will prepare it together. Otherwise we will shop for what is in season, what is on sale, and what is nutritious at the time of the workshop. Then we will create a dish based on what we purchased (no cost to participants). So each workshop will have a new creation. We are encouraging hands on participation for those who desire to do so.
We plan to generally follow the WAPF Dietary Guidelines for our meals, but do not expect to perfectly follow everything exactly. We want to keep the meals appealing to those who are new to WAPF, and not cook anything that the timid might be scared to try!
Our Cooking Workshop schedule is approximately as follows:
6:00pm-6:15pm Welcome, set-up, introductions, discuss any food intolerances, talk about what to make.
6:15pm-6:45pm Shop the co-op for ingredients, and decide what we are making. (no cost to participants)
6:45pm-7:45pm Cook and eat together.
7:45pm-8:00pm Conversation and clean-up.
