WAPF Metro Manila Chapter
WAPF Metro Manila Chapter Leader Tess Young is a social entrepreneur and advocate for holistic health. Tess Young is currently enrolled at Hawthorn University’s program to earn in doctorate in Holistic Nutrition.
She created Mestiza Coco Sugar, that produces raw blonde coconut sap sugar and coconut sap honey for export to the US, Canada, and Europe.
Tess also started <!– Living Foods Buying Club –> Living Foods Buying Club our own version of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). As a private membership organization, Living Foods Buying Club purchases primarily from local farmers and local artisans who share our belief in promoting nutrient-dense foods that are sustainably grown and harvested.
We strive to follow the principles of the Weston A. Price Foundation (www.westonaprice.org). We also cater to members on other special diets: low-carbohydrate, Paleo, gluten-free, casein-free, egg-free, raw, lacto-fermented, etc.
We also test the nutrient-density of the produce we purchase, and work in educating our farmers and members on how to improve soil fertility, thus improving their livelihood and our community’s health.
The businesses support the charitable works of the Foundation of Our Lady Peace Missions, headed by Sr. Eva Maamo, SPC, MD. Read more about these advocacies here.
