The cows also get a protein/mineral/vitamin mix top-dress when milking. They use bulls vs. artificial insemination for breeding, no preventative medicines, and holistic/alternative remedies for illness whenever possible. No hormones, pesticides, or chemicals used. The farm uses organic practices, although not USDA Certified Organic, due to cost. Also offering eggs from chickens who are on green grass in the pasture during the summer season and fed green hay during the winter.

Gemmrig Farm has a single Jersey cow and sells small quantities of grass/hay fed milk from their home. There is a required $5/ gallon glass jar as a deposit with the first gallon purchased and exchange jars as milk is needed. Milk is $5 per gallon, $2.50 for half gallon, $3 for pint of cream, $5 for quart of cream. The farm is located just under 20 miles North of Bonners Ferry and is available from 9am-9pm most days. They also sell eggs, rabbits and ducks.

We are located in the mountains of North Idaho near Sandpoint.
