THE WESTON A. PRICE FOUNDATION (WAPF) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated non-industrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimal characteristics of human diets. Dr. Price’s research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats. The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective.
We are the Santa Clara County Chapter and located in Northern California. This sunny region is known as Silicon Valley, home to several tech giants, including Apple and Google. Up until the 1960s it was better known as “The Valley of Heart’s Delight” and provided food for the world at large. Sadly, most of those farms have been sold and turned into housing or offices.
WAPF SouthBay, Santa Clara County was the brainchild of Claire Takemori, Pam Laine and Olga Alexeva. Clairissa Clark took over as chapter leader until 2017.
