When purchasing pasture-fed meats, there are a number of questions you want answered. What are the breeds? Was the animal pasture-fed and pasture-finished? Is supplemental feed used and, if so, with what? Where the fields free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers? Where synthetic antibiotics used? What about hormones? For a complete list of questions, see “Questions for Farmers/Vendors” in the Resource List.
