Products/Locations
Beef/veal: Grass only beef available in cuts year round, or as wholes/halves in the fall.
Chicken: Pastured raised chickens available whole or cut up, available year round (as supplies last in winter)
Turkey: We raise Thanksgiving turkeys on pasture. We also raise a limited number of pastured turkeys through the year for ground turkey and select parts and pieces
Other poultry: We raise quail on pasture. Quail is available as butterflied whole birds, and parts and pieces
Eggs: Pastured Chicken Eggs
Where can customers find you?
Historic Haywood Farmers Market (Waynesville) opens in April for summer season, Saturday mornings. Online ordering system is in soft launch. Call to order. Deliveries in Haywood County. Drops, currently in Waynesville area. Asheville drop under consideration. Meat CSAs are currently full.
Animal Husbandry
Do you use antibiotics and/or hormones? No, but would use an antibiotic as a last resort. That animal would be removed from our meat production.
Are the animals pasture-fed? If yes, how much and for how long? Completely. Always on pasture.
Do you practice managed grazing? Yes, rotational grazing.
Do you apply compost or compost tea? No
Do you apply other soil amendments? No, pastures get manure from rotations
Do you use supplemental feed? For poultry only, antibiotic-free, conventional grain feed as a supplement for all poultry – chickens, turkeys and quail
Do you purchase pre-mixed feed or do you grind your own? Pre-mixed
Do you personally attend to your animals at least once a day, or do you hire help or farmers to do that for you? Personally attend
Sourcing
Are the animals born on your farm at the address listed? All cattle are born on farm. They only leave to be harvested
Poultry are bought as chicks. We process all poultry on farm
Do you only sell animals that are raised on your farm at the address listed? Yes

Meat butchered at a USDA-certified or state-certified abattoir? Beef
Meat butchered on the farm? We butcher all poultry on farm under NCDA exemption.
