Description: A small-scale sheep farm raising registered Finnsheep and German Angora rabbits. USDA lamb cuts, antibiotic free. Sheep are pasture-raised and primarily grass-fed. Lactating ewes and young lambs are supported with grain until weaning where they’re grown out on our family farm’s third generation orchards and meadows. The farm uses a high-intensity, rotational grazing system to improve the parasite resistance of the flock; thus, reducing the use of chemical dewormers. Tested annually for OPP, CL and Johnes, our Finns are clean of these ruminant diseases. All USDA lamb cuts are sold by the pound and calculated prior to pickup. Please note that some items do not come in a 1 LB cut (i.e. shoulder roast) so the number represents a QUANTITY not WEIGHT. We will select the best cuts available based on the quantity you specify. Description: Certified Organic vegetables and seasonal pastured lamb. A 59-acre, diversified regenerative farm located in Argyle, NY. Vegetables grown year-round on 3 acres with two passive-solar high tunnels; sheep for meat and wool; and perennial crops like asparagus, raspberries, grapes, and orchard fruit. Their flock of Romney and Scottish Blackface sheep are grazed rotationally in a diverse environment of open pasture, hedgerows, wild areas, and silvopasture orchards. They work with a local shearer to shear the flock twice per year, once in spring and fall. They process the wool by hand on farm, then dye the locks with foraged plants. Some of the locks are spun by hand into yarns and others are felted in a wet process.
