Lisa Leonard of Wind Dancer Ranch in Capay Valley will join us to talk about the importance of buying meats from your local farmer and how to go about it. Lisa will also let us know about the new regulations and proposed regulations that will make it difficult for small farmers to raise and deliver products to consumers. Don’t miss this important meeting. Two years ago members of our chapter were captivated with the beauty, diversity of animals and how Lisa and family tended them on our tour of Wind Dancer Ranch. Lisa has brought about opportunities for pastured pork, chicken and grass-fed lamb and beef and from her farm as well as neighboring farms for our members.
Please join us and welcome Lisa, Wednesday, September 5, 2018. We will have food sharing at 6:30 pm. Bring something to share and eating utensils. We look forward to seeing you. Please RSVP.
