Tour of Loma Vista Farm. This is a family event.
Loma Vista Farm is a 5-acre outdoor classroom that provides hands-on educational activities involving plants and animals for children of all ages and abilities. Loma Vista seeks to increase students’ knowledge of nature and nutrition while enhancing academic learning, ecoliteracy, and psychosocial development. Founded in 1974, Loma Vista Farm has been making a difference in the Vallejo community for almost four decades as a resource for environmental education. The services the farm provides to the community include a place for individuals and families to enjoy time outdoors among the many farm animals and gardens.

Our tour will be conducted by Rita LeRoy, the Farm Keeper, and will start at noon. The tour will last an hour. Children are welcome. After the tour we can share stories and food at the picnic tables near the farm entrance. You are welcome to explore the farm on your own. The entrance and parking is on Olympic Avenue. Layers are suggested as we don’t know what the weather will be like. Wear sturdy, closed shoes. Carpooling is suggested, bring a water bottle and a a nutrient dense dish to share . Loma Vista Farm is a nonprofit so donations are recommended. Masks are not necessary. No dogs, please. In respect of our members who are emf sensitive please leave your phone in Airport mode, turn it off, or leave it in the car.
Loma Vista Farm is located at 150 Rainier Avenue in Vallejo. It is open 9 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday (not on weekends and holidays). For more information about the Farm go to http://lomavistafarm.org/
