Heidi Gleisner and her family has graciously invited us to meet at their homestead in Walnut Creek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During our time together Hedi would like to share a bit about the animals we breed and raise on our little homestead<\/strong>, along with a buzzing apiary my son started when he was 12. (J Honey https:\/\/www.jhoney.farm\/<\/a>) Whether you live in an apartment, condo, or in the suburbs come see how you can start homesteading. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will also learn how we use Azure – an independent supply chain that promotes health freedom, and sample some local raw honey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our family had some takeaways from 2020:
1. We were very far from being self-sufficient
2. We were under the false impression that you can only homestead if you have 10+ acres.  When doors were closing on us to purchase land out of area, we learned to re-evaluate what we had to work with right in the East Bay suburbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will start our meeting by sharing a potluck style meal, please bring a nutrient dense dish and eating utensils. This event is child friendly.  Dress for being outside. Bring a hat and a water bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ground is uneven and sloped, and has stairs – so please wear good footwear.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RSVP is required to make sure we can accommodate all the vehicles, carpooling is encouraged. Event address and directions will be provided to those you register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
