Price Foundation (WAPF) NW Cook County Chapter was founded by Susan Wanga in 2009 following the Wise Traditions conference which was held that fall in\u00a0 Schaumberg, IL.\u00a0 Some of the producers were making their products available downtown Chicago, but wanted to establish a suburban connection.\u00a0 Susan linked the farmers in the area with the consumers in the Northwest suburbs establishing this chapter in the process.\u00a0 We shall be forever grateful for her initiation in opening the connections for area consumers to access such a variety of traditional foods.\u00a0 Susan still actively investigates farms and their practices and keeps us abreast of new opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Renee Renz became the chapter leader in 2011 and desired to establish a community through chapter meetings. \u00a0 Upcoming events are \u00a0listed in the Yahoo and Meetup Groups.\u00a0 Mark your calendar for the CSA Expo\u00a0in March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Want to Help?<\/strong> Assistance and advice are welcome in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-lead this chapter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideas for chapter meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>computer assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Location for holding meetings on a regular schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Help \u00a0for a 30-45 minute shift at the WAPF table during the March CSA Expo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Weston A.
