About Us

The Madison Wisconsin chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation was established in 2005. From our early days, we have been focused on supporting the mission of the Weston A. Price Foundation in the Madison area, including finding local sources of high quality, nutrient-dense foods and providing educational information to Madisonians regarding traditional nutrition and lifestyle practices. For example, we played a key role in protecting access to clean, whole, raw milk in Wisconsin through incidental farm-to-consumer sales.

The holistic goal of the Weston A. Price Foundation is to restore nutrient-dense foods to the human diet. We pursue these goals through education, research, and activism. We support multiple movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, and honest and informative food labeling. Some specific goals include establishing universal access to clean, certified raw milk and a ban on the use of soy formula for infants. The Foundation also seeks to establish a laboratory devoted to the testing of nutritional content for foods, particularly to identify correlations between traditional preparation methods and the nutrient density of whole foods.

As a local chapter, we continue to meet regularly on a monthly basis. Our meetings are fun and engaging, and may include anything from seminars featuring local experts to excursions to visit local farms and learn more about their individual approaches to producing sustainable and nutrient dense whole foods.
