Farms/Farmer’s Markets

Miller’s Biodiversity Farm – Private Club Membership.  Large assortment of nutrient dense, farm-fresh foods for pick up or UPS delivery (dairy, grass-fed & finished meats, fermented vegetables, crispy nuts, etc.). (717-806-0392 – tell him you were referred by DC Chapter of WAPF).

PolyFace Farms – www.polyfaceyum.com (540-885-3590).

Amish Farms & Farmer’s Markets – Take MD Route 5 South to Mechanicsville.  Within the first mile of crossing into the County/Town line, markets can be located on both sides of the road during most months except December – March and never on Sunday.  You can inquire of each Amish vendor where you can find other specific foods like eggs, milk, butter, live or freshly-dressed poultry, etc.  Most farms are located locally and just a short drive.

FreshFarm Markets – Various vendors – not all provide grass-fed, organic, whole or raw foods, so talk with vendors.  There are six locations in DC (White House, Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, H Street NE, Penn Quarter, & Health & Human Services).  Many locations accept EBT/WIC and double those dollars!  Visit www.freshfarmmarkets.org to view list of vendors by location, hours & days of operation, and special provisions.
