Contra Costa Tri-Valley Chapter held a tour of Desi Milk Farm in Modesto on May 29, 2021. Almost 50 people attended from all over the Bay Area.
Desiree Lopez is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who decided to make a difference in her community by finding a way to bring affordable raw milk to as many people as possible. She has been able to do that, Desiree partnered with Farmer Joe to provide raw sheep, goat, A1/A2 cow milk, and A2/A2 goshala cow milk in stores throughout the bay area and Sacramento.
The animals are fed non-gmo feed including almond hulls for the extra protein and never fed corn or soy nor ever given antibiotics. The term goshala means that the cows will live out their natural lives and not be slaughtered – an important requirement of those in the Hindu religion where cows are considered sacred.
