NOVEMBER 2016: WIND DANCER RANCH FARM TOUR
Join the Weston A. Price Chapter serving Concord/Walnut Creek Pleasant Hill area for a tour of Wind Dancer Ranch, probably our last tour of the season, to see their heritage breed pigs, lambs, and more all raised on pasture in the beautiful Capay Valley! After the tour, there will be delicious pastured meat (both lamb and pork) and beautiful wool from the farm available for purchase.
SEPTEMBER 2016 CHAPTER MEETING: SUGI GARDEN
Our next meeting will be held at Sugi Garden, which is owned and operated by local chapter member Amy Erez. Amy will demonstrate how to prepare a marinated salmon recipe from the Nourishing Traditions cookbook. Samples of the finished product will be available!
AUGUST 2016: FLYING COW FARM TOUR
Join us on our field trip to Flying Cow Farm in Esparto, CA, Sunday, August 14 from 10 am to noon.
Ewa and Rick Sobilo raise cows on an irrigated pasture using rotation grazing method. Meat is 100% grass-fed, 100%-grass finished with no GMOs and no antibiotics.

The Concord / Pleasant Hill / Walnut Creek chapter of WAPF is pleased to present an interactive telecast “The Fungus Among Us: Toxic Mold, Moisture & Dwelling Well” by Cheryl Ciecko. Please join us to learn how to prevent toxic mold and minimize health risks.

JUNE 2016 CHAPTER MEETING: EL MONTE ELEMENTARY WITH JENNIFER MOLINO
Our June 2016 meeting was held at El Monte Elementary School, an innovative school that teaches students organic farming and a love of real food. We began with a potluck and then went on a garden tour led by Jennifer Molino, winner of the Regional Administrator of the Year Award from the State of California. Everyone had a wonderful time sampling from the garden!
