About 25 people showed up with great food and fun talk!

You will get all the ins and outs of purchasing, housing, feeding, predators, maintenance, and more of raising chickens in the backyard. Your instructors Marianna and Diane, have over 20 years between them maintaining their own flocks of chickens in urban settings.
Diane Dovhouluk is a regenerative farmer/gardener who initiated and developed the organic garden for Wente Restaurant and Vineyards for 20 years. Marianna Juergens, DVM, is an animal lover who has a mobile veterinary business. Both women raise beautiful chickens and share their delicious eggs, the kind of eggs that have brilliant firm yolks and thick whites.
We will start with a potluck lunch so bring a nutrient dense dish to share and eating implements. We will be outside, so prepare for the weather by wearing layers. Also please bring a folding chair or 2 to help with seating. Event limited to 20, parking is limited, carpooling is recommended. Meeting to be held in Livermore, the address will be shared after tickets are obtained.
The presentation will begin around 2:30 PM.
We look look forward to seeing you.
(This event is brought to you by Patricia Moore, our new co-chapter leader.)
