“My name is Amanda, I live in Palmer, Alaska. I currently create and bake sourdough bread boules. I use organic all-purpose and bread flours, spring water and Real Salt, which is a pink salt harvested in Utah.
The starter I use was gifted to me and once belonged to Richard “Dick” Proenneke. This famous Alaskan pioneer made a mark in the Alaskan Wilderness back in the late 1960’s. He made a documentary about it called, Alone in the Wilderness. I am proud to say I am able to continue on making this nourishing bread from this historic Alaskan sourdough starter.”
