Help A Local Independent Dairy Farm Stay Alive

March 12, 2014 by WAPF London

Now undergoing a forced relocation and facing financial danger, Foot Dairy are reaching out for support to help them survive and continue providing their loyal customers with the highest quality raw milk and pasture-fed beef available.

Approved supplier with the Pasture Fed Livestock Association, The Calf at Foot Dairy has a loyal following of devoted customers in Suffolk.

The herd however, has been given notice to leave their home in Hollesley Bay and the unexpected move to their new Home Farm of Somerleyton will put a great strain and risk on the finances of their dairy – so they desperately need your help!

Supporting and keeping independent businesses like Foot Dairy alive is integral to the promotion of healthy products such as raw milk and pasture-fed beef.
Foot Dairy are looking to raise £5000 through crowd-funding website Crowd Funder to allow them to carry on supplying their local doorstep delivery customers.

In return, donators will be gifted with one of a number of rewards, ranging from a signed photo of thanks from Bluebell the cow herself, a cookery course from their cordon bleu chef, to the chance of learning how to set up your own calf at Foot Dairy.

In order for Foot Dairy to receive their funding however, and for you to enjoy your unique gift, they must reach their target of £5000 by the 27th March. So do not waste any time!

For more information and to donate click here.

Fiona Provan’s Calf at Foot Dairyin Suffolk is unique. Her small herd of 100% pasture-fed Jersey cows produce fabulous raw milk, as well as pasture-fed veal and beef.

The secret at Foot Dairy is compassion. Their cows at the Calf keep their precious calves who are then gently weaned far older than usually happens in the dairy industry, keeping both mum and calf happy. The taste of the raw milk and pasture-fed veal and beef from a happy herd is second to none!

The health benefits of pasture-fed meat and also those of raw milkis becoming more widely known, so the more you pledge the further word will spread and more people will benefit from these amazing health giving foods.

Weston A. Price at CAM Conference on Cardiovascular Health

March 10, 2014 by WAPF London

Cardiovascular Health & BANT AGM

Saturday 15 March 2014,

Cavendish Conference Centre, London.

Working closely with the British Association for applied nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), CAM Conferences are a series of high-quality, high-end education events for practitioners of complementary and alternative medicine. Inviting only the best, internationally-renowned speakers on each featured topic.

Director of the annual Weston A. Price Foundation’s European conference, Philip Ridley, will be in attendance this Saturday delivering his talk: ‘Cholesterol, the essential sterol for heart health’

Being supporters of traditional, nutrient dense foods is controversial today, since most of our most nutrient dense foods are those rich in cholesterol and saturated fats. Philip will present evidence that these foods are in fact protective against heart disease, that cholesterol and saturated fats are essential nutrients and that statin drugs may cause rather than prevent heart disease. The hypothesis presented is that heart disease is a modern condition brought on by malnutrition, toxicity and modern processed foods. Philip will also discuss the far reaching implications for public policy.

Philip’s talk will take place between 4pm-5pm.

This weekend’s conference will also include talks from Paul Clayton on ‘How muscle, bone, liver, and adipose tissue drive – and cure – diabesity and sarcopenia.’

and Professor Svend Aage Mortensen on ‘How a new, natural treatment may restore cardiovascular health.’

For more information and to book your place click here.

Exhibitors at the conference will include:

Premier Research Labs | Biolab Medical Unit | Genova Diagnostics Europe | Green People | Igennus | Mycology Research Laboratories | Nutri Advanced, Pharma Nord | Revital | San Omega GmbH | Schwabe Pharma | Invivo Clinical | Rio Trading | Alliance for Natural Health | HeartMath UK
