Food Standards Agency Consultation: The Future of Raw Milk

March 14, 2014 by WAPF London

Congress Centre, London 31 March 2014

The Food Standards Agency is currently consulting on the future of raw milk regulations and has put forward the chance to hear your views on the subject!

In a public event the impact of future changes to the controls governing the sale of raw drinking milk will be considered from both sides of the debate.

Up for discussion will be the recently published options for updating the rules governing the sale of raw milk in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Many of you have been following the developments of the FSA’s 12-month consultation on the future of raw milk. The consultation will result in anything from the removal of restrictions to a total ban on the sales of raw milk.

The event will give the opportunity to hear from speakers involved in the production of raw milk, the wider dairy industry and policy makers. Also present will be the Chair and Chief Executive of the FSA and board members who will be making the final recommendations for updating the raw milk controls.

There will also be presentations from:
Steve Hook, Hook & Son
Debbie Vernon, Ellies Dairy
Phil Ridley, WAPF & Campaign for Real Milk, London Chapter Leader

This half day event will be a fantastic, possibly one-off, chance to defend the values of raw milk and have your voice heard. We are expecting it to be a lively discussion on a topic many of you will no doubt feel passionate about.

All the views and discussion will feed into the current consulation on the raw milk regulations. Do not miss out on this chance to protect our right to the production and consumption of raw milk.

Space on the event is limited. To register click here as soon as possible, you will receive an email to confirm your place.

For directions and more information on the event click here.

Nourishing Traditional Diets:
Recommended for those attending the conference for the first time, Sally Fallon Morell’s introductory talk at 10am Saturday will include Dr Weston Price’s iconic  photographs of healthy “traditional peoples” and will discuss Dr. Price’s works and the underlying characteristics of healthy and traditional diets. Parts II & III will continue exploring the benefits of healthy and traditional diets, explaining the benefits of fats and oil, recognising the good fats from the bad, how to change your diet for the better, providing yourself and your family with nourishing traditional foods around a busy lifestyle.

Please note, Sally’s talk on Saturday will now be starting at 10am.

Healthy Pregnancy: Sunday morning, following her new book, Nourishing Book of Baby and Child Care, Sally presents a talk regarding the many challenges to the pregnant women with an emphasis on good nutrition for protection against the dangers that she cannot avoid. As a finale to the conference, she presents in the evening, a talk about her “health secrets”.

Frequent contributor to Wise Traditions, and creator of Cholesterol and Health, a website extolling the benefits of nutrient and cholesterol-rich foods, Chris Masterjohn PhD, will be providing two sequential talks on the effects of positive nutrition on both mental health, and heart disease.

Taking place at 10am on Saturday, Chris Masterjohn’s first talk will provide an in-depth insight into the benefits of animal foods, such as organs, bone-broths, and cod liver oil in stable mental health. The talk will draw from Dr Weston Price’s work documenting the ability of nutrient-dense foods in promoting mental health along with physical health.

Focussing on the topic of atherosclerosis, Chris Masterjohn’s second talk centres on the relationship between nutrient synergy and heart-disease prevention. Chris will discuss the best way to harness the power of fat-soluble vitamins, antioxidants, along with other nutrients to prevent molecular degeneration and heart-disease.

Chris’s final talk on Friday evening provides a humerous round up of the studies which claim that a mythical transition from a low-fat to a high-fat diet has caused the scourge of modern disease.

Amongst our impressive list of speakers this year we are also pleased to welcome and announce Stephanie Seneff PhD, Beverly Rubik PhD, and co-founder of Green Pasture Products David Wetzel.

Saturday 2pm – 4pm:

David Wetzel, Co-Founder of Green Pasture Products, will be delivering a two-part talk on the benefits of one of Dr Weston Price’s most groundbreaking discoveries, Cod Liver Oil combined with High-Vitamin Butter Oil.

Fish and Cod Liver Oil History & Production: A food that has spanned millennia, the first section of David Wetzel’s two-part talk on Cod Liver Oil will begin by describing the character of fish oils from biblical times to the present day. Explaining the difficulties of integrating a historical food into present-day climate, David will describe the various problems with tests, label requirements, and the drug-language ascribed to mainstream Cod Liver Oil.

Cod Liver (S)oil: What is the perfect food for bacteria? They need protein, sugars, water, and for explosive bacterial growth they need B vitamins and enzymes.

In the second part of David Wetzel’s discussion, he will describe the benefits of using a by-product of cod liver oil as a soil conditioner and raw milk as a fertiliser, pesticide, and an anti-fungal. Discussing his experiences adding liquid fish, molasses, and other real foods to the soil in small quantities David will describe the results of his experiments.

Saturday 11.20am – 12.30pm:

Senior Research Scientist at MIT Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Stephanie Seneff PhD, will be delivering a talk on the connection between the use of Roundup™ and the rise in autism rates and digestive problems.

GMOs and Roundup™: a Marriage Made in Hell: In this talk Stephanie Seneff will discuss the effect of Glyphosate, the active ingredient in the weedkiller Roundup™, which in a series of studies is demonstrated to be disruptive to the guts of chickens, cows and pigs.

Stephanie will explore the connection between the rise in the usage of engineered “Roundup-ready” monocrops, and the parallel increase of autism rates, digestive problems, and the possibility of links to Alzheimer’s, obesity, depression, and breast cancer.

Saturday 2pm – 4pm:

Internationally renowned for her research in frontier science and medicine, Beverly Rubik PhD will be joining us at the Weston A. Price Foundation European Conference to deliver a two-part talk demonstrating the efficacy of a natural wholefoods diet titled “Health Under the Microscope”.

Diet Under the Microscope; Comparing the Weston A. Price Diet with the Conventional Modern Diet:
Centred around a fascinating microscopic view of how blood is altered through the food we eat, Beverly Rubik will demonstrate through her microscopic slideshow how other types of diet miss the mark.

Lifestyle Choices Under the Microscope; Lifestyles that Harm and Those That Heal:
In the second part of Beverly Rubik’s talk, she will address the various manifestations of inflammation and chronic disease demonstrated in blood at a microscopic level. Dr Beverly will explain how it is possible to
deal with these consequences on a daily basis in order to improve one’s
health.

Fall Edition of the Weston A. Price Quarterly Journal: How GMOs are Killing the World

January 4, 2014 by WAPF London

The fall edition of the Weston A. Price quarterly journal is now available here online. This edition of the Weston A. Price journal contains a message from President Sally Fallon Morell, features from Jeffrey Smith and Stephanie Seneff, all of whom are speaking at the Weston A. Price Foundation conference in London, 8-9 February 2014. Join the Foundation to receive the journal in the post quarterly, delivered to your doorstep.

President of Weston A. Price Sally Fallon Morell is proud to announce that this issue moves GMOs and the new science available on the dangers behind its use up from the sidelines and into the forefront. The links between GMO usage and the global increase in disease, digestive disorders, infertility, cancer and behavioural problems like autism have now become evident.

“Even if you are avoiding genetically engineered foods yourself, many of our loved ones still consume them, so we all need to work together to get GMOs out of the food supply.”

Jeffrey Smith examines new evidence which confirms the belief that GMOs are responsible for the promotion of a wide range of diseases that spans across the whole globe. GM corn and soybeans produce a number of toxins not present in non-GMO soy and corn. Both evidence and numerous US physicians point to GMOs as the cause of many global health problems.

“Proponents of GMOs have become more aggressive at suppressing adverse data and promoting their myths, desperate to stem the anti-GMO tide. They continue to proclaim that the technology is precise, environmentally friendly, and needed to feed the world, in spite of evidence that shows just the opposite.”

Stephanie Seneff exposes the lie that Roundup® is harmless to humans. Glyphosate, Roundup’s active ingredient, is demonstrated in a series of studies to be disruptive to the guts of chickens, cows and pigs. Seneff has connected glyphosate to the increase in a number of diseases, obesity and autism over the past 20 years.

“Roundup could plausibly be the most important factor in the observed increase in a number of diseases and conditions like obesity and autism over the past two decades in the U.S… we are doing something wrong, and our wholesale embrace of GMOs is an obvious candidate.”

Both Jeffrey Smith and Stephanie Seneff will be speaking at the Weston A. Price Foundation’s fourth annual European conference, Feb 8-9 2014.
This year puts the event firmly on the map with an impressive new venue at Sandown Park in Esher and vastly expanded programme of talks and workshops. The venue is 20mins from central London with free parking, 10mins from Junction 9 of the M25 and prices are held at 2012 levels.Book early to secure places on workshops, which have limited spaces.

Speakers: John Carter, Sally Fallon Morell, Chris Masterjohn PhD, Janey Lee Grace, Jeffrey Smith MA, David Wetzel, Geoffrey Montague Smith, Beverley Rubik PhD, Dr Natasha Campbell McBride MD, Jane Mason, Maria Tarantino, Philip Weeks, Ben Pratt, Prof. Ton Baars PhD, Jane Levi, Geoffrey Morell, Karen Maidment, Heidi Herrmann, Peter Brown, Stefan Chmelik, Debbie Vernon, Ruth Trealy, James Treador, Stephanie Seneff PhD, Simon Whyatt.
