Myra Nissen, WAPF chapter leader for Contra Costa County, organized a raw dairy farm tour for the bay area chapters.
Desiree Lopez partners with Farmer Joe to provide affordable raw sheep, goat and A2/A2 goshala cow milk in stores throughout the bay area and Sacramento. The animals are fed non-gmo feed including almond hulls for the extra protein and never fed corn or soy nor ever given antibiotics. The term goshala means that the cows will live out their natural lives and not be slaughtered – an important requirement of those in the Hindu religion where cows are considered sacred.
Desiree saw the need for accessible affordable raw milk so has been working hard for the last year to provide it. Her passion comes from the healing her daughter experienced after starting to drink raw milk. She read Nutrition and Physical Degeneration (by Dr Weston A. Price) and is excited about educating families about the importance of raw milk. She also is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
